FRESH FRUIT AND VEGGIES - For Plant-based DietOne of the first and most important steps you can take to improve your health is to gradually switch to a plant-based diet of fresh organic fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, and whole grains. Dr. T. Colin Campbell has stated, “The most powerful drug-free weapon against sickness and disease known to man is a whole foods plant-based diet. There is overwhelming scientific support for one simple plant-based diet.”

Are you aware of the following statements? ‘You are what you eat’ or, ‘the foods you eat today will determine the diseases you will develop later in life.’ According to Dr. Fred Bisci, “It’s not just what you put in your body. It’s what you leave out that’s of top importance!” I totally agree.

Based on conversations with countless people over the last 15 years, I have formed the opinion that most Americans experience a serious disconnect between the type of foods and beverages they consume and the diseases they develop later in life. Because the ‘foodless food’ consumed does not usually impact health immediately, it is difficult for people to see a connection. Nevertheless, it is there, and the evidence is indisputable.

To live a long, healthy life and to be in control until the end, it behooves you to consume a plant-based diet of fresh organic fruits, leafy green vegetables, nuts, seeds and whole grains. I agree with Dr. Richard Schulze that “… (T)his wonderful and amazing planet contains all the natural substances that we could possibly need, not only for our food, but also for our healing and health. We just have to open up our hearts, have faith, live clean, and use these natural gifts, and then step aside and watch the healing, even watch the miracles happen.”

ROASTED VEGGIES - For Plant-based DietWhen you consume a plant-based diet, you will experience an immediate improvement in your overall health and energy level. Many natural health experts agree that a plant-based diet can help slow down the aging process; boost your immune system, and lower your risk for heart disease, cancer, and other diseases!

Another benefit of consuming a plant-based diet is, as your body becomes healthier you will naturally lose weight—and continue until your body reaches its ideal weight. Even though I was overweight when I set out upon my health journey, ridding myself of asthma—not losing weight—was my priority. Nonetheless, when I switched to a plant-based diet and my body became healthier and less toxic, to my surprise I started losing weight automatically. And I continued to lose weight, slowly but surely, until my body reached its ideal weight, which remains stable today.

Switching to a plant-based diet requires a complete mindset shift and major lifestyle modifications, especially regarding your dietary habits. Replacing animal-based food with a plant-based diet takes time, a burning desire, a firm commitment, and plenty of self-discipline.
