Book Excerpt from Chapter 2 – Two Major Focuses of the R.E.B.A. Principles

Two of the three major focuses of the R.E.B.A. Principles are:

1. Personal Responsibility

“There are NO incurable diseases, NONE.
Take RESPONSIBILITY, and be willing to CHANGE,
and you can heal yourself of anything.”
~ Dr. Richard Schulze

Your health is your responsibility and, therefore, in your hands, not dependent upon anyone or anything outside of you. No matter what your health problems may be, or how long you have had them, drug-free solutions do exist—despite what doctors may have told you. But it is your duty to find and implement those solutions in your daily life. Remember, it is your life that is on the line here.

Taking responsibility for your health means making healthy lifestyle choices and watching what you put into and onto your body. And it starts with a heavy dose of desire, commitment, a mindset shift, and determination. Remember you are the only chance your body has. If you do not assume responsibility for it, then who will? No one else can eat, sleep, meditate, exercise, breathe fresh air, or absorb sunshine for you. These are your responsibilities.

In his book, Why Christians Get Sick, Dr. George H. Malkmus states that, “Many people have a problem accepting personal responsibility for their own health problems. It is a lot easier to believe that some germ or virus or outside influence over which they have no control caused their physical problem, than it is to acknowledge that they personally caused the problem themselves.”

Dr. Malkmus continues, “Often, because of ignorance, people will even blame God or say that it is God’s Will, thus, once again, shifting the blame away from themselves. When we place the blame on some outside force, could it be we don’t want to acknowledge the possibility that perhaps something we are doing or not doing is responsible for our illness?”

After ‘knocking on death’s door several times in the past, I am alive and healthy today because I assumed responsibility for my own health and refused to allow anyone or anything to stop me. And today, studies show that an increasing number of Americans are taking the same dogmatic attitude and assuming more responsibility for decisions concerning their health. That is very encouraging!

If you want to enjoy a vibrantly healthy life, one of your greatest priorities must be a commitment to assertively—even aggressively—take responsibility for your own health. Yes, it will take time, but the rewards for achieving vital health and peace of mind are so much greater.

When you learn how to take responsibility for your own health decisions and actions, you will become more peaceful, tolerant, and accepting of your health condition. As you realize your health is in your hands, you will likely do whatever it takes to regain and maintain it. When I assumed responsibility for my health, I became more peaceful, less fearful, and my confident soared, because I finally realized that my health outcome was in my hands. For the first time in my life, I understood that I possess the power to choose which direction my health would take—degeneration and disease or regeneration and vital health. How liberating is that?

I realize that death is inevitable, but how we live our life and the quality and dignity with which we die are left up to us. We have the unique ability and responsibility to make our life and death as high quality as possible.

2. Prevention

“The fact is, conventional medicine does a spectacular job of managing acute health care problems like trauma and infections, but it has failed miserably in the arena of preventative care and the management of chronic illness.”
~ Noah McKay, M.D.

Prevention, prevention, prevention—is the core message here. Hopefully, it will empower you to take charge of your life so you can live in confidence knowing you will not become a statistic of modern medicine—because you understand how to prevent disease from occurring in the first place.

Know that drug-free solutions do exist. You need only to find and apply them in your life. As Dr. T. Colin Campbell stated on his website, “Prevention is the best medicine; the American healthcare system is the third leading cause of death in the country, with adverse drug reactions, medical error, hospital infections, and surgical errors totaling more deaths than heart disease or cancer.”

Preventing illness is a mindset. And to achieve vital health, your mindset must be that you can prevent disease by taking charge of your health today and implementing the health principles discussed in this book. When you take care of your body, your body will take care of you. You will experience improved health, an incredible surge of sustained energy, and your sense of well-being will soar. How great is that!

On the other hand, the mindset of modern medicine is to wait until disease appears and then to treat and manage the symptoms with drugs, surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, dialysis, etc. My question is, why would you wait to receive a negative diagnosis from your doctor before you start taking care of your body?

Most chronic degenerative diseases can be prevented by engaging in the proper lifestyle choices that lead to long-term health. Using the strategies in this book, you will learn how to, not only regain your health, but also how to prevent diseases from occurring in the first place.

Many Americans are living in fear of developing a major illness because they do not know what to do to prevent it. They feel their ill health is beyond their control, so they leave it up to their doctor to make them better. Well, there is no time to worry about what could happen or to transfer your healthcare responsibility to your doctor. Instead, implement the principles discussed in this book and trust your innate healing power to keep disease at bay. There are no guarantees, but I know from personal experience that if you apply these health principles, you will reap the benefit of great health and wellness.

Book Excerpt from Chapter 3, Five Health-related Observations

Following are five health-related observations I became aware of during my journey to health:

Observation #1: With each passing day, you are getting healthier or sicker, and heading toward disease, meaning that every day you are either building health or producing disease in your body. The great news is you get to choose in which direction you want your health to go. You can choose actions that will allow your body to regenerate and heal itself, or behaviors that will cause degeneration and disease.

Every cell in your body is constantly being replaced. And based on your daily lifestyle choices and habits, those new cells are being regenerated into either a healthy or unhealthy environment. If your internal environment is healthy, the new cells become stronger and healthier overtime. On the other hand, if your internal environment is toxic and unhealthy, those new cells become weaker and weaker until they reach a diseased state. Thus, your health or lack thereof, is in your hands—not your doctor’s or anyone else for that matter!

Observation #2: You cannot poison your body into health with prescription or over-the-counter drugs, chemotherapy, radiation, etc. Nor can you heal your body by cutting out unhealthy body parts through surgery. If this were so, pretty soon you will run out of body parts. The fact is these procedures cannot heal your body now or in the future. Yes, you might experience temporary relief, but that is not health. Make no mistake about it, when the underlying cause of disease is not dealt with, it will eventually return more deadly than before. Cancer is a great example.

Observation #3: Your body was created with incredible power to heal itself and prevent disease. To do so however, it requires the fundamentals of a plant-based diet, whole food nutrition, filtered water, internal cleansing, mindset shift, etc. Remember your body is nutrient-deficient, not drug-deficient. I will discuss this healing power in more details in Chapter 4, under, “Divine healing power within.”

Observation # 4: Should you choose to continue to engage in your current lifestyle habits and pretend you are invincible, your health will continue its downward spiral into a sea of bad health, much pain and suffering, temporary quick fixes, and disease management involving medication and surgeries. And during this journey to premature death, you will no doubt pay an enormous price in pain, misery, and money just trying to stay alive. Unfortunately, for too many Americans it may be too late. The evidence is overwhelming and undeniable. Just look around and you will see the appalling consequences of choosing this path.

Observation #5: On the other hand, should you choose to step-up and assume full responsibility for your health and implement the R.E.B.A. Principles, self-healing and vibrant health will be yours to enjoy for the remainder of your life! Come on Americans, you have everything to gain and nothing to lose but bad habits, adverse drug reactions, body fat, fatigue, and chronic disease. If you do not feel better and have more energy after implementing the R.E.B.A. Principles, you can always go back to doing what you have been doing and feeling awful as a result. The choice is yours!

Book Excerpt from Chapter 8 – Conclusion

As we reminded you at the very beginning of this book—yes, there is a “disease-care” crisis in America today. And yes, most Americans find themselves in what Dr. Gary Tunsky refers to as a “Medical Twilight Zone,” with all too many of us already far beyond that point. This is an undeniable reality, given the nature of our society today. However, my message of encouragement to you is: If I can regain my health after years of suffering and taking prescription drugs, you can, too.

Indeed, there is hope buried underneath this great American tragedy. And that hope is: you do not have to be a part of this crisis. No matter how long you have been sick and taking medication, or whatever treatment you have had in the past, your body can and will balance and heal itself as you incorporate the R.E.B.A. Principles into your life—if your cells have not been destroyed to the point of no return.

It is the birthright of every human being to experience and enjoy a long, healthy life free of drugs. Being healthy is your natural state of being. But in order to experience vital health, you must embrace, nurture, and protect it with all your power. Your longevity and quality of life depend on making informed decisions and taking the appropriate action!

I speak with conviction and experience when I tell you that you no longer have to suffer from chronic diseases, take tons of life-destroying drugs for the rest of your life, or undergo unnecessary risky surgeries. Those are trails of disease you will leave behind—if you act on the information in this book.

Additionally, you will no longer have to struggle to find your own path to health and wellness or depend on conventional medicine. And finally, you will no longer feel isolated and guilty for being sick and having to depend on family and friends. Instead, you will acquire the courage and know-how to improve your lifestyle, your health, and your life. I did it, and you can too.

Believe me when I say there is an enormous difference between living in health and enjoying a disease-free life, and living in chronic pain, taking tons of drugs, depending on family and friends, living your last days in a nursing facility and constantly worrying about your fate.

Being unhealthy and living in constant fear are no fun. I know because I have been there and done that! You see, seventeen years after my father’s death, I was facing the exact same fatal outcome. Every time I experienced asthma symptoms, I thought about my father and how he suffered all of his life—as far back as I can remember. That memory was always followed by an overwhelmed sense of fear and helplessness, which continued until I “woke up” and decided to take control of my health decisions and actions.

“When trying to make a good decision, a person must weigh the positives and negatives of each option, and consider all the alternatives.”

When I set out on my health journey, I did not have access to a health coach or mentor to guide me, but that did not prevent me from moving forward. Luckily, you do not have to travel the same costly, time-consuming path I traveled to regain your health. You see, the R.E.B.A. Principles eliminated the guess-work and paved the way for you to create a healthier and more vibrant drug-free life than you could ever imagine.

I sincerely hope the information I have provided will serve as a wake-up call and a beacon of light to guide you through the huge and inherently destructive maze of disease management and temporary quick fixes offered by practitioners of all sorts, up to and including allopathic physicians. I have given you the health principles you need to make yourself healthier, slimmer, and more energetic than you have been in years! I will bet there is nothing else in your stack of facts that can do that!

Finally, your journey and destination will be governed by your knowledge and your decisions will be based on what you have learned. Use this new wisdom to guide you to wherever you want to go. I hope it leads you to the same desirable destination I finally reached—Divine Health.
